I am thinking about getting one of these Spyderco Millitary's currently two out there available for pre-order. So I am asking the question, which would you choose. They are similar in price, the fluted titanium knife is about $20.00 more.

C36GPBL: Spyderco Plain Edge CPM-S90V Blue G-10 Military (Bento)

-or-

C36TIF Ti-Mil Fluted Military with Titanium Handles (KC)

I like the idea of the upgraded steel but the fluted titanium handle is pretty awsome. what are your thoughts?

I answered this in the other thread but I would take a g10/s90v over a fluted ti/s30v. The military is a workhorse slicer. The 4.2 OZ weight of the g10 makes it incredibly light for how much knife you have. Plus, how often can you get a knife in s90v?

i'll take an s30v fluted ti military at the same price as an s90v g-10 millie provided the blade has a best-in-the-industry mirror polish.

'mornin sal! :D

I have said this several times in other posts. I don't like to pay a premium for fancy scale materials. It's all about the steel for me. Assuming of course, that I like the design of the knife.

Can someone pm me where the blue g-10 is at.

Do you want fancy blade steel or fancy handle? Both are nice, and a Franken-Spydie would be a cool but a pretty penny.

Jill posted some nice pix of the Fluted Ti Millie.

Nice knife, but I went for the S90V Millie instead.

I actually did that with the M390 PM2, I bought a black knife (with black blade) and switched the scales to get an m390 PM2 with black G10 instead of blue. I sold the blue G10 with black S30V blade for $180.00. I kind of regret selling it it was a pretty sweet knife.

I liked the blue G10 much better with a black blade in it. but like having my M390 knife in black as its more of an every day color and the PM2 definetly a great every day knife.
