Here's one I just sent out.

It's a blue sheep horn mosaic in a herring bone pattern, with blue amber spacers. I used bronze for the fittings because the yellow in the bronze complements the blue colors so well. I matched the pattern in the handle with the pattern in the damascus. I was really working for chatoyance in the damascus on this one, it shimmers pretty nicely when you move it around.

The blade is 4 1/2 inches long, 15N20 and 1095. The overall length is 9 inches.

Coop again, did a great job shooting these shots.

I hope you like it, all comments are welcomed. Thanks for looking.

Interesting knife. I like the use of bronze, I am not sure I like the way all the materials are flushed, but that's a personal taste.

The first picture is infinitely more flattering to the knife than the second one.

WOW!
I really like how you matched the patterns in the steel and handle.
Very nice looking knife Mark.

I really like what you did with the sheath.

I like he knife, too. Everything except for the bronze. It looks good now. Maybe not so much once it tarnishes. Too much maintenance for me.

Impressive work on that mosaic handle, and I lik ehow you transitioned that material into the sheath.

that's a real piece of art, Mark- bravo!
Mimicking the pattern in the steel with that crazy handle is genius.
Definitely not for everyone, but good art never is.

Hi Everyone, thanks for the nice comments, I appreciate it.

John, the sheath is not lined, just stained.

Reflecting the same pattern in the blade, the handle and the sheath is something I have been working on for a while now. Lately I have been working on getting more resolution in the damascus.

Anyway, thanks for all the nice comments. Mark

Beautiful knife, Mark. I like the way the sheath compliments it.
