I recently acquired a blue gen 1 delica and it is laser engraved "black and Decker industry and construction" where the spyderco logo usually is, does anyone out there have any information on this blade?

And it's it at all possible for non paying accounts to post pictures?

Moved to Spyderco. Engraving is not near the pivot, correct? As for posting pics this should help.

Thanks for all the info, I'll probably spend some time this weekend trying to figure it out... No its right to the left of the hole where the spyder is on most spydies

Just an engraved piece then. Lots of companies do that as employee gifts or promotional giveaways. Also there wouldn't normally be a bug symbol on the blade of that knife. That didn't come about until the current fourth generation.
