Hey guys quick question and sorry if this is dumb or common sense. But when you send in a plan jane sebenza to get refurbished does it include re-anodizing the thumb stud or do you get a new one or is neither possible? Thanks in advance.

CRK will not put a new thumb stud on an ATS-34 blade or a BG-42 blade due to the fact that the blade may crack when doing so and that is a chance they are not willing to take. I suppose if you asked them to do so and said you didnt care if the blade cracked they would try but you would have to have a few screws loose to do that in the first place. Hopes this helps.

dident Mr Reeve say that they had to destroy the thumb lug when they refurb the blade in the bladehq video? ive might just have mixed it up, in that case i would guess you get a new one ;)

You can take the thumbstud out and put it back with out destroying it, I have done it several times. I believe CRK will just replace the worn out stud with a new blue one, that makes more sense than trying to reanodise it. I always go for silver studs any way so I never have this problem. :)

 too wisey :D

I Like the look of the blue but it doesnt last long. The blue
Rubs off too easily. I also thought blue hardware in the handle
Would look nice too instead of all those silver pivot screws etc

@ Haze: it sounds simple if you say you removed the stud and put it back in.
I'd like to see.....
You must have a special tool/fixture to do that?
