I'm looking to get my first CRK, either a small or large plain Jane Sebenza 21. Watching the classifieds and have seen a couple but they have the standard stainless (titanium?) thumb stud. I would really like it to have the blue but did not see them on his website. Are authentic blue studs obtainable? Thanks.

Who's website????
IMO, blue thumb studs are more common than silver or gold on plain jane Sebenza's
Notice the blue on five of the eight 25's I've got. Now, on some CRK's the silver is more common. It just depends whether it's a CCG, Unique or one ordered.

Chris Reeve's site. Unless I somehow missed it. I saw backspacers and screws etc. But no stud. Just was curious since it would open up more purchase options if I could change it out at another time. On your mention of model specific color I did notice the doppler has silver studs and I sure wouldn't mind that knife :)

They usually come with the blue on the plain, so look around at some of the dealers. I am sure they could fit what you had with a blue, but it does require sending it in . For me that would not be worth it, since the blue wears off. I prefer the silver for that reason.
They also could fit it with the double studs if that is something you like.
and I would call before sending anything in

On CRK's site, there's a spa treatment form to fill out. There is where you'll find the list of changes they'll do to a knife. Yes, you can send it in for a specific thumb stud color, single or double. As Peter stated, the blue wears off fairly quickly.

Thanks, I did see that one but I saw a guy PM'ed him so I thought it was probably sold. I'll have to consider that. Not 100% sure if I want the small or large yet. I generally like mid to large sized knifes but adding some smaller blades might be nice.

PMed can mean anything(?, offer, working out a detail or buy)and until it says sold, I consider it may be in play.
Can't help on the large/small. they are both nice knives.
