Blue thumb studs changed color

I have a 25 that's fairly new. The blue anodzing is coming off faster than normal. More opening and closing the knife than using it right now.

I used a product called Never Dull to take all the blue color off the studs....they're silver now. I like the look of all silver better than blue coming

off the studs. Everything else is silver on the plain sebs. I think a silver thumb stud looks better.

Never-Dull polishes glass, silver-gold, brass, pewter....... and all metals. I've used it for years.

You could probably use ND to polish brass washers too. I've always used 2000 grit sand paper tho.

Sorry I don't know how to post pics.

I'm a fan of silver hardware as well. To post pictures, use an image hosting service like flikr or imgur, then link to it in the post with img tags.

Here's my 21 with silver studs:

I like the look of the blue coming off, black blade coatings wearing, scratched ti, etc. Growing up seeing my dads and grandfathers knives and tools all worn up from work and weekend working made me really appreciate a nice worn look. Not abused, but worn. It tells a story or just makes it look used. I'm a sucker for worn black on pocket clips and blades. Scratches and gouges are ugly, but worn is nice. The blue is also coming off my 21, but only on the peak of it, the rings further down are still blue.

+1 on preferring silver hardware!
(except for on that 25 with blue anodized handles that's been floating around, that thing looks sweet)

I like both but definitely prefer the blue ti.

It's probably the tinkerer in me, but when I see anodized metal it tells me that it's either aluminum or ti. When I look at the silver hardware I see metal that could just as well be boring stainless steel and that's no fun.

I love the blue
I wish my lanyard standoff was blue as well

I like blue. Seems like it's "traditional" with Sebbies. Gold and silver are nice, but blue for me! ;)

I definitely agree with you I like the blue or some color rather than silver. I mean in photos the bare silver looks good, actually that along with the fact so many people here on the forums said how they preferred silver got me to send a sebenza a while back for sliver hardware and when I got it it was a lot less exciting than they appear in pictures it just looked like stainless steel. So yeah I prefer anodized because it looks cool in person as in pictures and you know it's titanium.

I've got a small sebbie that I sent in to get dual silver lugs instead of just the one blue. I like the blue but I sure don't like the look of it wearing off compared to just plain old silver. I don't mind the scratches and wear on the titanium, but shiny single colored lugs for some reason look a lot nicer.
