Blue Ti Bump question??

Hi everyone,

I have recently added two Blue Ti bumps to my collection and have decided to trade off one of them to my brother. While inspecting each one to decide which of the two I was keeping I noticed a couple of things that have concerned me. The first thing that jumps out is the difference in color between the two, one is clearly Blue and the other is almost purple, was this color variation common?? the purple one looks like it has been carried some but the blade appears to be unused. The other thing that I saw is the serial #'s one is 04xx and the other 9xx, the odd thing is the 400 series has a 0 making it 4 digits and 900 series only has 3 digits. Is this odd or just the way the factory numbered them? I will try to get some pics up tonight.

I Just want to make sure I don't have anything extra special or a knockoff(if possible) before I send one to my brother.

Thanks for any help!!

Jody

Not sure about the XXX's... I always associate that mark with a factory second, but perhaps it is a special numbering. I've always wanted to check on of those knives out... they look awesome!

Sorry about the confusion, I couldn't remember the exact #'s so I just put x's to represent the actual #. There are no x's marked anywhere on the knives.

The anodizing of the Ti will make it appear to be different shades in differing light. One that was carried often may change hues due to the buffing effect of clothing. I have no clue about the numbers.
