Just finished this up. I think it is one of my nicest autos to date. I had it displayed at a show today and it was mistaken for another very well known auto makers work.

Blade is 2-7/8in double flat ground in a persian style. Made of Devin Thomas fireball pattern damascus. Matching front and rear bolsters. Scales are grade A++ blue and white walrus ivory. The coloring is so good it looks like marble! Fully fileworked liners, backbar, screws and latch. I fileworked leaves ont he backbar with stems and veins in them, i'll try to get a good pic of them tomorrow. Gold anodized liners and blue anodized spring. Overall length is 6-78in.
Thanks for looking,
Chuck

Well, I'm one guy that likes the idea that you never make the same pattern pattern twice. That is a very nice Persian style. The damascus you used looks great, but I wonder if it would have looked better if you had used Rados Turkish damascus instead? Just a thought.

Keith,
I think that it would look in Rados turkish, the thing is that Jerry will only sell it if the blade is going to be forged to shape, that way the pattern stays consistant. Or I could send him the specs and he could forge it to shape for me. I did pick up some really nice turkish at the show today, it almost rivals Jerry's. I just wanted to do something different, it seems that I use turkish on most of the persians I do. Although Jerry's turkish looks good on any knife!
Thanks for the comments,
Chuck

Thanks for this bit of information. I had no idea that this was a requirement with Jerry's damascus. You learn something new every day.
