Is there a thread someone can point me to on care of blued damascus? I was recommended camellia oil for the blued blade but when I used KPL camellia oil, the blade went from blue to bronze :( I ruined one trying to clean it up and not sure how to approach the second one.
Thank you for any help.

Is this for a kitchen knife?

I've used EDC spray on a CRK Sebenza with a damascus blade. It's food safe and it doesn't discolor the blade or anything.

Can you post a picture of the blades you are talking about?

Thank you for replying and asking. They are not kitchen knives. Here are some before and after along with the knife oil used. One of the knife sellers thinks its this oil. Any help would be appreciated.
Before After and Oil

For my regular-colored Damascus blades, and blued mosaic Damascus bolsters, I use Renaissance (Ren) wax. I apply a thin coating, let it dry for 60 seconds, and shine it with a clean cloth. Then I apply another layer because Damascus has layers and you want to coat all the crevasses.

Thank you. I've picked up some Renaissance wax. I still have the yellowing issue. Any thoughts? WD-40 on blued damascus to clean? Might I add, the yellowing was after only a week with the oil....

Sorry, I don’t have any experience with blue Damascus, so I’m not sure about how to get the original color back.

I typically clean my blades with either denatured rubbing alcohol, or WD-40. The WD-40 seems to be enough to clean tape gunk off blades, and keep steels like Maxamet from developing a patina. I use the EDC spray on everything else.
