The Bluegill is a design from rrogers. It`s about 5 1/2" overall, with about a 2 3/8" blade, 3/32" thick. This one has tan canvas micarta handles. With his permission, these are available to order. This could be the perfect pocket fixed blade!

Sure is a cute little guy!

Has all the makin's of a good seller!

best

Dang you rrogers! Why'd you have to go and have that one made.

That looks just right!

With any standard handle, these will sell for $135 shipped including sheath!

Wow, that turned out nice! The idea for this one came about one day while fishing (for bluegill). I left my nippers at home and got annoyed with constantly pulling out and unfolding my pocket knife while holding my fly rod and all the other junk I have with me. I wanted a small thin fixed blade that could cut line, whittle a peg for my strike indicator, gut fish, etc.
Looking at it now, I think it will probably see A LOT of back pocket time as well. John you knocked that one out of the park! Can't wait to use it.

that is "epic" as i believe the kids say (?) wish i could order one right now, have to wait a while I'm afraid, I'd keep the pattern handy though, think they might sell like water in the desert :)

While I know that I would love that for personal carry, especially when I'm running around our trout ponds, I bet every woman that sees it will demand one. It will be a perfect knife for small handed people.

looks perfect for that!
you might check out Kelly Custom Leather -- Psyop here on the forums -- he makes a pretty nice back pocket sheath that'll fit a flashlight & fire steel or lighter depending on your preference. Prices are pretty reasonable as well.

Love this little knife! I'm thinking I might be ordering one of these soon, maybe to match my Toby2.0:D

Wow - that's just fantastic!
Looks like it would be useful for any number of things.
Love the convenience of a small fixed blade.

The Bluegill arrived today! John did an outstanding job. It is just perfect, and exactly what I wanted. The handle is very comfortable and locks into the hand with a solid three finger grip. I can't wait to get out and use it this weekend. The rest of the week it will be on apple duty at work. :)

Bam!

Will post some more in use pics later. Definitely gonna need a pocket sheath that will hold this and a flashlight or firesteel. This is going to be a great EDC. A small, but very capable knife.
