Blueing a Khukuri ?

I was wondering what you all thought about blueing to keep rust to A minimum on HI khuks.Is it possible? Do you reccomend it? Alternatives? Anything else I should know ? This is my first khukuri, A 15" Ang Khola. Any help would be great. Thanks, Bteel

I've cold blued one of my using khukuris, and find that it does serve to inhibit rust, and makes an interesting change in the appearance. I wouldn't do it to one that I valued as a collector's piece, though. Don't know how you feel about your new AK

Thanks, Berk. I don't like blued blades so have no worry in this area but there are some who do and some who must.
