If you were to buy just one, which? I am only considering the blue ones, so this may make a difference to you. Also, it'll be a user, not a dust collecter.--Joe

I've got all three (though not the Blue native) .. and in order of preference I'd have to say:

1. Calypso Jr.
2. Native
3. Delica

They are all excellent knives though! :)

Surprisingly, I'd go for the Delica. I always admired the Native, it's by far better manufactured and has better materials, but unfortunately the Native never fit my hand very well :(
The Calypso jr. OTOH... :D

Blue native for me. I'm pretty sure it's PE only. I also found that the blue native III was a smoother opener than the Black native III I have. It may just be that knife. I found the delica just a little small for my hands.

Once you use one and see that blade geometry.

It is STRONG. That ridge line keeps the hollow grind under a nice big wad of steel instead of just hanging out there like an unsupported plowshare.

I saw a pic of the similar Boker in Blade Mag and got it. Returned it as a POS. Not even ground same both sides, but the Native has nearly the same blade shape but made well.

I am fanatical for the Native. Carry it every day.

:)

I was looking at the Blue FRN Native III-I had forgotten thatthe G10 native existed..

Both are excellent knives. If you prefer a thin handle, and are dead set on blue, then go with the Delica, as the Native III is considerably thicker. On the other hand that thickness, and the contouring of the handle, make it very comfortable to use if you have a lot of cutting to do. Of the two, I'd go for the Native III both because of the comfort issue and because I find the blade shape more useful, but to be honest, I'd take the regular black Native in S30V over either 95% of the time, as it combines that blade shape with a thinner, easier to carry, and only slightly less comfortable (but still much more comfortable in my hand than the Delica) handle.
