I can't remember anything about it. James K. Mattis had a design for what ended up as the JKM one after his demise. It's possible he had another longer prototype. We ended up with the Kumar Karda about that time, which maybe seeing the JKM may have had something to do with.

Uwinv I recall something about the JKM-2 but the extent is only that it existed. And I didn't feel it important or distinguished enough to copy a pic of it for posteriety. But I felt the same way about the JKM-1 as well and have no pix of it either.
I may have a pic of both the Kumar Karda's though. You have one of the first Kumar Karda's I think in one of the khuks I traded you?
Or did we not trade on that one?
It's the khuk with two kardas and a chakma in the back, I can't recall which khuk it was though damnit!:grumpy:

For those of you who didn't/don't know there are two versions of the Kumar Karda...
The very first ones were smaller and had partial tangs, nice little knives though with a longer blade than the standard kardas.
James Mattis suggested to Uncle Bill that Kumar make them more like a Leuko and so they were.
The 2nd edition is what we get now with a full stick tang and a longer and wider blade and often with the carved handles.
James always had excellent ideas!!!!

It was the YCS Edutsi...the one I had to complete the full reprofiling to convex on (scarey sharp now!). The post I read refered to the JKM-2 being longer but that's all I could find on it. Blues evidently had/has one...perhaps the only one.

I remember the hatchmarked 18th Century was swapped and I got the Spike Hawk, but if I remember I traded the KK and some money to N2S for a Pocket Hobbit.
I've been meaning to get another KK but been too slow or too unlucky or too broke at the time. I should get a JKM, and a Sarge plus the KK. Eventually.
