Hey, all.

I'm trying to decide between 3 models, but am open to suggestions. The models are the Plantronics Discovery 645, 655, or the Jabra BT500. I'm currently using a Motorola hs820, but I keep getting complaints about the sound quality. Also, from my end, the volume is LOW, even when turned up all the way. My phone is the Cingular 8125, a pda phone w/Windows Mobile 5.0.

Any experience with any of these models? ANy ideas for a reasonably loud headset [one that can be heard clearly & easily over car noise, for ex., or in a somewhat noisy area]?

Thanks,
Frank :D

I've got an 8125 as well and I just got a jabra JX10 black today. I'll be testing it out ove the next day or two, so far, it is loud....but I've really only used it to listen to voicemail, will report more tomorrow.

Jabra BT160. One of the best I've used to date. Sound quality is excellent and the volume controls are easy to operate and access.

I just switched from the moto 820 ( sucked!) to the Planetronics 645 and can't say enough positive about the 645. PLENTY of volume, all day comfort and found it on eCost.com for $79 with free shipping. :D

I have the Jabra BT350 and have used the Motorola.

The Jabra give me excellent performance........unless I have my air-conditioning blowing on my face while driving (even just a "moderate" amount)......or have the tops off my car!

I love my Plantronics 510.

Check out Amazon.com The prices might not be right but there usually are plenty of reviews to enable you to make an educated decision and purchase.

I have the same setup and have since late february, it works great. I would recommend this.

OK well I'm on my SECOND one now and it has the same problem as my first. I "light saber" type of sound trailing off of my words when I speak. Everyone I call just about comments on how annoying it is. I wondering what the chances are of the 3rd one being bad as well. I assume yours doesn't have any problem like that?
