Actually,I'm more interested in software,I picked up a bluetooth dongle from ebay a while back. There was software with it but it didn't work, the software was from Blue Soliel,so I went to their website and downloaded it from there and it seems like it will work ok.The problem is that they only give you a trial version that lasts 15 days and will only transfer 2mb of files,it costs $30.00US to unlock it so it can be used as it's suppose to be.It always gripes me that companies can't give you that info upfront or even before the software is downloaded. What I'm hoping to find out here is,is there better software available or does anyone have any reviews of this Blue Soliel software.I'm looking to transfer files between a laptop and cellphone right now but I'm also considering a bluetooth headset so I can listen to music from the computer and who knows what else down the road. The software needs to work with Windows Vista, anyone have any favorites?:D

I imagine you're using a PC, my Mac has built in bluetooth and software that allowed me to transfer files.

I'm sure there is good freeware for this.

I am using a PC and that Blue Soliel software looks to be the same version that I have, they advertise it for free but it's only free for 15 days and it will only let you download 2mb of a file while your trying it.

I've just been using the stock Toshiba software that came installed on my laptop. It seems to work okay. It handles my mouse and keyboard, and I can transfer files to and from my phone. Good enuf for me.

I'd suggest you look on the website of your computer's manufacturer. They'll probably have some sort of bluetooth management software available for download.

If you want I can email you a copy of the drivers

Otherwise willing to shell out $3?

As I keep my phone right next to the computer (laptop) I don't need to really worry about range so I use this:

Be forewarned, its Chinese knockoff items, and it takes close to 20 days for it to get to you. But for the price its worth it, also pick up one pack of these to make it worthwhile:

DX is reliable but as said it takes a long time to get items due to it shipping from Hong Kong. The build quality is on par with what you'd buy from a retail electronics store on the bluetooth dongle, and the keychain lights are super...just other items they have aren't the best.
