I hope everythings OK jm!
Same here JM, hope everythings cool, but the hospital is NEVER good.
I keep crossing my fingers for a Blur in 14C28.
How does the 14C28 compare to S30v any speculation?
Everything after July 2007 everything went to 14C28. As long as you get one dated after that you are fine.
If you do get a blade with 440A though, Kershaw is letting people send it back to the factory and they will replace the blade with the newer steel.

This wouldn't exactly be cost effective, and we are not replacing knives due to the steel changeover. If you do get a blade with 440A though, Kershaw is letting people send it back to the factory and they will replace the blade with the newer steel.
Thanks guys, but unfortunately I lost an old friend today. It's gonna be tough not seeing the old bastid every dayThanks for the kind thoughts.

Just so we're clear (and I am nitpicking)
July '07 = 440A to 13C26
January '09 = 13C26 to 14C28N
There are some models out/currently being assembled that do utilize the 14C28N.
1660TSW Leek, OD-1 etc....
mike
soo I think I wanna wait a couple months before buying a new leek I guess..from what I have read the 14c28n is a wee bit better than the 13c26..or maybe I am wrong
The 1660TSW Leek is already out and available...
