I have an older black Blur CM154 (*update really 440A steel) and it says made in USA on blade. I would like to add some OD and desert tan Blurs, but only if they are made in the USA? What is the current Blurs? I do not see it stamped on blade?

I do only collect Buck Vantage Pro (S30V) and Spyderco Native (S30V) folders that are also made in the USA so its not an anti-Kershaw thing just my collecting habbit.

Collecting Blurs is heading down a very dark road think carefully about what you are about to do .:D

My Blur is model number marked on the blade: 1670BLKST, KAI Patented, Made in USA (on the belt clip side of the blade).

On the handle it also says "Kershaw, Ken Onion, USA"

also and way cool the date......May06

I don't think that Blur used CPM154 unless it says it on the blade.. It's probably Sandvik 14c28n

Thats what I was thinking^^. And with that date wouldn't it be 13c26n or something else? I forget when they switched steels.

Like everyone said all made in the U.S. and plenty of colors and steels to choose from!

Actually, according to the email I got from customer service when I submitted the question, anything made before June 2008 would be 440A. They used 13C26 from June 2008-July 2009, 14c28n from July 2009 to current. So, the OP's black Blur should be 440A.

Very cool...thanks for the update. You are right nothing on the blade about steel type!

Ok I see you updated your original post, didn't think they did a 154 cm with black handle.

Where is the date stamped? My 1670DSBLK has no date on it anywhere.

They stopped date stamps in 09 I beleive. I personally miss them. Too many people were crying over old stock last years model etc... It's not like knives have a flipping EXPIRATION DATE you dummies.

I 100% agree with you. One of many reasons I really like Buck Knives as they all have a date on the box and a year symbol on the blade.
