Blur arrived today

My new Blur arrived today (thanks, kershawguy!)

It's a black tanto blade. Ho-lee crap, that thing is sharp right out of the box. This was my first experience with a hair-popping edge.

And those tanto blades really pack a wallop, don't they? Just playing with the new knife and managed to cut my thumb impressively before I knew it. Definitely want to be extra careful with this thing.

So far I really like it.

Dang, that thing is sharp!
 
Haha there is a certain school of thought that dictates a knife isn't actually yours till it draws your own blood.

Congrats on your first Blur bite :D She's yours now.
 
In the interest of helping a fellow forum member and tanto fan spend their money, you should track down a Kershaw Cyclone tanto! I just bought one, and it's very impressive. Different from the Blur, of course, but they do have some similarities that might appeal to you.

Oh man, I have a Mini Cyclone tanto and I absolutely love that knife!
 
Now to decide which of the new Kershaws to EDC! I picked up this Blur, a Leek, a Clash, and an OSO Sweet to try out. My intent is to sell or gift one or more of the others. I'll definitely keep the Leek as a gentleman's folder, plus it's just such a fun, elegant little toy, and it won't scare people in public.

But I can't imagine actually getting rid of any of them now....
 
That's how it happens, isn't it? You grab a few to try, keep them all, and after awhile start thinking of another one (or several) you want next.
