Blur Handle Inserts

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the trac-tec inserts from the Blur? I was looking at one in the store and it appears that they may be epoxied in (heat gun should soften it up). I thought it might be cool to replace them with some other material.

p.s. I picked up a JYD2 while at the store too. Nice knife. It will soon have amboyna handles.
 
dunno, but that teak & ebony box you built is flat-out insane! Lovely work.
 
I've always wanted to see the blur trac tec replaced. I think that would look great. And I dig your hawkbill design too.:)
 
Phillip, I've replaced the inserts in a Blur before. I used a heat gun, and they loosened up quickly. You shouldn't have any problems.
 
That's what I wanted to hear. Looks like my next knife will be that S30V Blur.
 
I'd imagine a Cadre would loosen them up :D
