I was having issues with the blade having some up/down play + audible noise when handling it.

While they did fix the issue (blade has zero play/feels like a rock/NO CLICKY CLICKS), I noticed that the liner is more towards the right. I didn't have a before pic, but at the bottom is the after pic.

Is it common practice to adjust the liner further right to lock it up (at least my assumption is that is what they did)? My limited experience here on the forums tells me that the further right is no bueno.

As an FYI, cutting cardboard is literally the most taxing material my knife would take. I don't expect to baton with this thing.

frankly, your lockup looks a bit late but it will probably be fine. if it does wear through to the other side, then just send it back in a couple of years and have them replace the liner. they are pretty good about this stuff.

Cutting cardboard is literally one the most taxing things any knife would cut. There is all sorts of things inside cardboard. Not all cardboard is the same, some has dirt, paper, wood pieces, all sorts of glue, and other things. Most people don't think about it. A friend of mine worked at a cardboard factory in Georgia, he told me about the sheer amount of materials that get into the pulp. I think the lock will hold just fine where it is. It will take a while to move over further. As far as Kershaw adjusting the lock, it could have very well been done. The lockup is easily adjusted by the diameter of the stop pin behind the blade when opened.
