Blur Question

I am looking into getting a Blur and i was wondering about the inserts . I was told the newer knives have the rubber type inserts and the older ones are more of a sand insert . I was also told the rubber insert sticks up above the scale and the sand ones dont . Does anyone have both so they could compare ? I would like to find one in 154cm would this of come with rubber or sand inserts or possibly both ways , thanks

The track tech inserts in the blur feel like hard rubber. They're rugged, they don't really stick out from the scale on a noticable level. I think it adds a lot of grip to the knife.

I believe that the 154cm model will come with the rubber inserts.

Here are some pics. Hope they help. Sorry for the fuzziness as my older 2MP camera is not capable of macro shots. The rubber sticks out just the tiniest bit while the sandpaper version is definitely at a lower level in the milled out part of the handle.

It also looks like the paint is a different shade of red on one.
Those pix do a great job of illustrating the difference in the inserts!!
