Blur vs. mini Cyclone

All,

I am considering getting another EDC. I already have a Leek for week-day carry and I would like a larger one for week-end around the house/yard work.

I am considering either a Mini Cyclone or a Black Blur.

I am favoring the Blur because it is lighter.

The question I have is how thin are the handles? For EDC I prefer very thin handles. That is one reason I like my leek so much. Are the handles on the Mini or Blur as thin as the Leek? If not, how do they compare. Are there any other similar sized knives with thin sleek handles?

Thanks.

M.

...I carry a rough G10 handled reverse tanto Leek and an S30V Blur and the thickness of the handles are just about identical...( I'm too lazy to dig out my caliper this morning...:p )...I'm gonna guess that if you compare them to a SS or Ti handled Leek they are both about 1/8th of an inch thicker overall. There are guys here who most likely have the numbers down to the thousandth of an inch...LOL...maybe they'll chime in...:)

About the same, without measuring. Look for a 1595ALBLK Speed Bump on the auction site. Fits the bill. Can be had for around $ 40 or so...

You might want to check out the Shallot. It's the Leeks
big brother. Great knife.

The Blur & mini-Cyclone are pretty thin, too. The Blur's definitely lighter (Well, it sure feels like it), but like svrider3 said, the Shallot's pretty much as thin, but also larger than the Leek. If you like your Leek, the Shallot's a great choice.
