The weather yesterday was kind of crazy...ranging from cloudy to rainy, to brief periods of sunshine, to storms and tornadoes. I spent the first part of the day off on a photo shoot. It was interesting. Here are some pics I took at lunch at the pavilion at Rally Ridge at Prentice Cooper State Forest & WMA.

A nice view, it varied a good bit.

Lunch was pretty awesome though...even if not the healthiest. It was items I knew would keep till I decided take a break. Smoked pork, potatoes, and bread. The DF I got from Dylan is still one of my favorite knives in the field.

I still had more work to do afterwards, but after another hour or so in the woods tree tops were blowing around like blades of grass and limbs bigger around than my thigh were dropping like flies. Figured I might out to get my camera out of harms way :)

Yummy...........................

You gotta have the worst job ever. Moose:D

Awesome man. You watch too many cartoons BTW.

Thanks man, yeah...watched Winnie as a kid, then raised a few kids. Actually there are 26,000 acres there but that didn't sound right for the title :)

Great pictures as always. Chow looks tasty.

Thanks bro, yeah was pretty good. Was wishing I had some mushrooms to go with it. Yeah...I'm a Tolkien fan too

MMMM smoked pork. Damnit, salivating now.....

:D

I miss the days when we used to smoke our own, when I was a kid.

Was pretty tasty :)

I'm hungry. Real hungry.

I've noticed some of my threads seem to have that effect.....

Oh it's horrible...just horrible I tell you :D

Me too. I love my cast iron...as long as I'm not carrying it in a pack lol. Though I used to have a 4" cast iron skillet I used to pack, I wonder what happened to that thing.

I've got way many more cast iron than I need. I find my self using the Lodge 10 inch skillet with the trivet a lot for flattened bacon. I try to use my Lodge Sportsman Grill whenever I can otherwise. :D

Awesome pictures brother. That little eating tool looks cool too! I might need to think about designing something like that.

...That's not unhealthy, that's soul food! plus it's clinically proven fact that food cooked outdoors and eaten with spork contains no cholesterol. :D

Ps The sky from shot 2 is begging to be PhotoShop'ed into shot 3.

Thanks guys, glad you liked the shots. It was a good day out.

One day I am going to need to study this photo shop thing.

I love your photos - knives are awesome, of course - but even better when there is food involved! :D

That's a perfect meal for a blustery fall day.
Some shrooms would have been good, but you can't beat meat & potatoes.

Mist, at 7:30am in the morning, your pictures just made my decision of what to have for breakfast. Off to Kroger's, see you in a bit.
Thanks for the advice . . . :)
Be safe.
