Following the :( TRAGIC :( loss of my small Sebenza, I am seeking another (less expensive) framelock for daily carry. Has anyone handled both the BM 10300 and the Camillus EDC? I would love to hear a comparison.

Maybe you could consider the Microtech Mini Socom Elite M/A. I have a Mini Socom, so it's just a leaf spring lock, but it's super tough and well-made. I imagine the new frame lock is even more tough, especially for the $90 price tag.

That MA Mini-Socum is sweet, but I don't like those grippy inserts. Is it possible to remove them?

Here's my review of the Benchmade 10300 Monochrome. The thread went way off track with the whole "made in USA/not made in USA" thing, but it gives you the general idea. The Camillus EDC excels over the Monochrome with the choice in blade steel and ergonomics, but fit and finish are about equal in my opinion. I like the Monochrome alot.

The Camillus is also available in D2, Talonite, and the "basic" 154CM. Superb ergonomics.
