Really like the blade profile of this knife alot BM only makes a Satin finish on these, dont like the satin finish much, so spent the weekend doing something about it, taking apart a benchmade for the first time was revealing all went well, back to smoothness

That looks awesome! The 14205 my favorite knife right now so it's nice to see an enhanced version like that.

So what steps did you take and materials did you use to do that? I might want to try that on a few of my blades. . . . not on my 14205 though because I use mine a lot and it will look crummy as it gets scratches on a mirror finish like that.

The hardest step was taking the folder apart and reassembling it with no stripped screws. Take the knife apart both sides at the same time, its easier. Started with wet 450 grit 600, 800, 1000,1500, 2000 used a buffing bit on my corded drill then finish off with a dremal buffer, Metal Pro that stuff works great got some on ebay., found that a 12in piece of 2 by 4 really helped hold the blade and allows for good hand angles rised the blade off the table top as I wet sanded. Here I did the same with the 14210 also.
