So I really like small fixed blades. I also have had good experiences with bm fixed knives though I am not a huge fan of most of there folding knives, balisongs excluded. So when I had an oppertunity to trade for a 210gg (thats the one with the fancier handle) I took it. The knife I think could be best described as a gents edc fixed blade. the handle is a cool combo of cf and g10, grey and black with some texture. The blade is sort of drop point with a decent useable cutting edge with some belly for a wee little knife like this. the handle is minimal but for an edc utility adequate and fairly comfy IMO. The blade steel is s30v. Ok so premium materials, cf/g10 and s30v and a Mike Snody design, all good and a price that is fair but a little high perhaps if you compare this knife to tother small utility knives. The real bummer with this blade is not the blade at all but the total POS sheath they stuck it in. Textured black leather designed for pocket or belt carry. My roomates first comment, "Gawd that is one ugly sheath" ok looks aside the sheath is poorly made, thin back that is not well stitched and if that isn't bad enough today (my second day carrying the knife/sheath() I felt something pointy on the bottom of the sheath, yep sure enough the goddang point of this not all that pointy knife was cooming thru the leather. Not cool at all.

I really hope this is a defective sheath cuz a knife made of these quality materials designed by Snody and sold at around 115.00 or more does not deserve this crappy carrier. Oh yeah and it don't work well as a pocket sheath either.

Fortunetly there is nice kydex available for this one but right now I am pretty grumpy about the whole scenario. This isn't a tactical knife, I don't need concealment or rapid deployment, I don''t even need super secuity but I do need something that my sweet little blade isn't gonna poke through after two days of carry.

So to refresh, nice knife, totally crapo sheath. Come on Benchmade you gotta do better then this. Especially on something marketted as a limited edition.

A very nice offer that I am happy to accept. Email sent and thanks very much.
Got a little package from Canada today. A truly sweet sheath for the BM210. Gclip and belt slide attachments, great retention both for the knife and on belt or waistband. Eric's work is awesome and he is a nice guy too as he sent this out to me for long term field testing.

Thanks Eric, the knife is now worthy. Benchmade should consider your services.

Enjoy it....:)

As far as Benchmade and my services go...

BM's factory leather sheath looks poorly made and inadequate even on pictures.

This is something that I noticed on several production fixed blades: they seem to get better and better, and the sheaths actually get worse. IMO, more manufacturers should make the purchase of sheaths optional, especially since there are so many talented custom sheath makers that offer high quality work at pretty low prices.

i have a bm 210 tk snody activator right now its my edc blade. i love the lil thing lol
