I'm thinking of buying one of these two, but have never had any experience with either steel. I know D-2 is semi stainless, but what does that mean to me and is S30V worth the extra $30? Also what about the sheaths that come with them, I'm looking for in pocket carry.

S30V- An American made and developed premium grade stainless steel created especially for knives. It is a powder made steel with uniform structure and clean steel properties. As a blade it offers excellent corrosion resistance and excellent edge qualities.
D2- An air-hardened tool steel, which offers good corrosion resistance and excellent mileage in wear resistance. A good choice for hard use environments

BM210 and BM211 are fixed blade knives The kydex that comes with the 210 would be my choice. S30V is easyer to take care of. Hope this helps

I have a 210, but had a custom sheath made by Eric at On Scene... perfect combination. I like the S30V and I can get a great edge on it. Is it worth it? Can't answer that one for you.
