Hi, I am usually hanging out in some of the other forums, but I have recently started with balisongs. Yep, bandaid time already. I have been practicing with a Jaguar, but just ordered tonight a BM43 from www.tripleaughtdesign.com
My son, he is eleven, asked if there was a smaller size balisong. Small hands. I checked out most all of the dealer sites and don't see a BM 35 listed. Any tips on where I might find one? Thanks.
 
Since the BM35 and those of that small size category are no longer in production, your best chance is the for sale forums or bladeauction. Every now and then one pops up.

You can also look at the Tachyon, it's around the same size as the BM35. This you can pre-order at www.wowinc.com .
 
You may want to simply pick up one of the less expensive Chinese made Balis that sell on BladeAuction for now...., just to see if your boy's interest continues. They are very light and smallish compared to a BM43..., and also about $6-9...., so you could get a few.

You will see an ocassional 35 for sale on the auction, but I doubt you can get one for less than around $125 that's in good shape.

Thanks, Pete. Good advice. I taped the Jaguar so he would not cut himself and Mom would kill us both. I think I will pick up a couple cheap ones and grind the edge off for him. I guess I am getting old, my son picked up the Jaguar and in an hour he was doing what took me quite a while to learn. :rolleyes:

A fun hobby for a dad and son to share..., and collecting together would be great (i.e., when he gets into cars.., you get all the Balisongs :p )
