bm 42as on the way!

hey, cats. bladeauction.com was good to me last night. a guy named "thebestblade" had a dutch auction of 6 blue bm 42s, and i got one!

teehee! now i'm acting like a small child before christmas, and the dudes here at work are giving me weird looks.

anybody have any tips/advice/things i should know about the knife before i commence my centrifugal exercises? maintenance, etc?

I got mine from him a couple of weeks ago... great guy!!!

I suggest getting some MilTec lubricant (order it right now) and read up on how to use it on Chuck Gollnick's web site (www.balisongcollector.com).

If I had some extra cash, I'd get me a kydex sheath too. I don't really like the cocoon very much.

Oh yeah!! Stock up on Neosporene and bandaids

MilTec sounds like a good plan. and so does the neosporin, come to think of it. the bm will probably be a lot sharper out of the box than my current jag could ever be. and, since i won't be able to put it down, i imagine i'll use up quite a bit of the aforementioned miracle-ointment. however, i think i'll skip the bandaids. they'll just get in the way of my flipping.

mmm... kydex sheath... *drool*
