I picked one of these up and I'm pretty impressed. The aluminum finish is attractive but I can imagine that it will absorb scratches pretty well which is a real plus for a clipless knife. The wood inlays are nice also. This knife is very light and thin but the wharncliffe blade is pretty long for a knife this size, very close to 3". Overall, this knife reminds of the Mnandi, a nice looking knife that is sturdy enough for some serious cutting. I should note that the steel liner is thick and it has a really good grip for opening and closing. My main complaint is that this knife is large enough and tough enough to take a clip, once again like an Mnandi.

The 440 is about the same length as the Calypso jr. but it is thinner with a much narrower blade. Think Mnandi or BM 770.

And it actually has an adjustable pivot pin.

FYI- The faceted open stop pin is adjustable. Each facet is a fraction of an inch larger that the previous. This just adds another dimension to the long term "wearability" of the knife.

That's why there are two separate stop pins for open and closed position.

To adjust, use a T6 and rotate the screw on the right side.

Nice touch in a quality liner lock--gents knife of course. Too pretty and I don't trust linerlocks for hard use.

Mine came today. Sweet piece of work.

And yes, it needs a fancy clip.

Its not exactly a 'Hard Use knife' so the 50 Gal oil drums can breathe a sigh of relief. Its one of those knives that need to be held rather than looke dat either online or in a mag. It doesnt need a clip IMHO as its pretty light and would slip into a pocket easily. Definately reccomended if you want a Gents folder and dont want to pay the Earth for it.
