I handled one yesterday, and the guy in the store told me that he had just received it in the mail the day before yesterday. So I guess they are shipping out now.

I almost like it (it's very close to the 943) and the assisted opening is rather nice. It's just a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be.

The blade is also very thin, thinner than the regular 3mm stock. Would be a nice gentleman's carry knife, but for the price I'm not sure that I will pick one up.

It revived my interest in BM Axis-locks though, as it was perfectly centered and the grinds weren't too bad at all.

I have been trying find out if the anodized handles are smooth, and or "chalky" like the 940 series. I was wondering if you recall. Thanks

They felt chalky to me, just like the 94x's. Only real differences are that the 470 is shorter, has different ergos, has a thinner blade, doesn't have a titanium backspacer, and is assisted.

Come to think of it...it just might be a different knife, haha.
