BM 520 or 5000?

I am going to buy one of these today and I would like to know if anyone owns one of these or both. If so, is the 5000 worth the extra $? Thanks

well, the 5000 is an auto. That's personal preference and legality

If you like the auto function, it is worth the extra money.

It is just the opening pin, which makes the 520 carry a bit less comfortable. Just a bit.

The 5000 series auto is a great knife. THe blade is 154CM and the action is smooth. My only complaint is the thickness of the handles. The aluminum handles of the 5000 are not quite as comfortable as the average G10 stock in your pocket.
