440C blade, well-heat treated edge holds and slices beautifully. The scales are excellent and are better (both grip-wise and less abrasive and yes lighter) then the stock 525 offering IMO. Yes the tip is thin but adds to its performance...and no it's not a prying tool, but even if damaged is cheaply replaced. It's got full liners and the Axis lock...(I can't think of negatives.) Go get one!
