BM 530 Pardue Scales touching the blade when closing ?

Hello fellow knives enthusiasts ! :-)

After 10 years of reflection I just bought a second-hand Benchmade 530 for a decent price, but I have a small concern about the knife :

When closing the blade, it rubs against the scales (on both side, it's not an alignment issue). It looks like the scales are very slightly bent inward, like if they had been pressed together and deformed. I'm not sure such deformation is possible tough as the scales material seems very rigid.

Have you ever heard of such issue with this knife before ?

I've seen that fake clones of this model exist, how can I be sure mine is genuine ?

Thank you for your help, I might post a picture if I find a way to host it.

Mine sometimes rubs, doesn’t effect functionality. I have the axis version. There are a variety of models some have less flexible handles. Maybe the previous owner gave it the death grip:). Ask the company.
