This clip came on another knife I traded into. I didn't really care for how it looked on the other knife, but...

I don't see these end up on Benchmades too often, but it turned out way too cool :D

While that clip is not my style, it definitely fits well on that particular knife, with the blade shape and the CF.

It's not particularly my style either. The clip isn't anything I would have bought myself but seeing how I got it as part of a bigger deal, I felt I should try to use it somewhere it fit in better ;)

Haha, and I actually REALLY hated the clip that originally came on the 530-111. I took it off the very first minute I had the knife. The color and smoothness of this clip is much more appropriate for the style of this knife :)

Too much orangey/gold and such an odd texture. It contrasts the smoothness and subdued grey's and blacks of the CF in a very unappealing way.
Yuck :barf:

Nice clip!

But Its not too bad at all in hand.

A bit of orange in the photo, makes the 530 seem gold to me.

Was that oem on the other knife? It seems that the Benchmade pattern is the most popular for knife supply company decorative clips and blanks.

I like it. I also like the gold class offering. A lot of people don't like the split arrow (I know it's the color, not the shape that you don't like) but I find it attractive and useful. It's certainly better than what's on the Southard imo!

No it wasn't an original part, it was on an emerson ptac. But the guy was cool enough to include the original clip so I could do what I like with this one. :)

And I agree with you, I actually like the split arrow quite a bit. I've had issues with plenty of pocket clips (they're actually kind of a peeve of mine and I let them ruin lots of great knives for me) but the good old school benchmade style and the split arrow have always been great to use

Edit: oh yeah, southard is another knife that has a clip that doesn't really go with the rest of the knife (my opinion only :))

You've hit a home run with that clip. I'm not a clip guy at all, but if my blade came with that kick-ass clip, it would stay on there for good. Well done jbob!

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it.

Since I first put it on I wasn't sure if it was something I'd keep on or not, but this is the most I've carried the thing since I got it in September. An unintentional side effect is the increased handle width and grip comfort has gone way up. I was worried I was gonna have an unused 530 :p
