I got an RSK for xmas (asked for it) and had a few minor issues with it:
1. epoxy/glue on the blade - not a big deal, just removed it with a fork or kitchen knife, just surprised to see this...
2. burr issue - bottom half of the blade burrs even with light strokes on a spyderco sharpmaker - looking at the blade with a loupe, it looks like one side is missing a bit of metal on the bevel (only in the area where the burr is raised, looks like a disjoint canal running along the blade between the edge and where the bevel meets the rest of the satin finish part of the blade) - browsing the forums, it seems like the burr issue isn't uncommon, but I was curious if others with the burr issue noticed anything like this.
3. (the one that I contacted BM about) When closed, the blade lies against the side of the scales (instead of being centered). I got a quick response saying to send it in (rather avoid it) or that I could fix it myself by loosening the pivot screw, shifting the blade, and re-tightening. No luck with this though, and I haven't gotten a response back from BM (few days now) and I'd like to fix it myself - any suggestions? Thanks, Dave
