Having used both, I strongly prefer the BM 635. It's framelock is more secure than the thin liners on the mini-comander, fit and finish is much bettter on my Benchmade, the grinds are more performance oriented on the 635.
The ergonomics are very similiar, the EKI G10 provides a better grip with wet hands then the Ti on the 635.
The steel choices (S30V vs 154CM) are pretty close. I would prefer the S30V assuming good heat treat.
The EKI's only real advantage is the Wave opening. Perosnally, I don't like it because I never need to get a knife out that fast and it tears the heck out of my pants. BUT, if you do NEED a knife that fast, then it is worth all the downsides.
ON the other hand, you can put a big zip tie on the 635's Spydie hole for a quasi-waver opener.
So what would my choice be?
Easy, the 635 every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
