Got my 690 today, this is really a masterpiece!! Looks like a gents folder...but it's built plenty strong

It's also much beefier than I would expect from that type of knife....seems to me it will hold up to very much...
I wonder why the 690 doesn't get some more chat on the forums?...
Anyways...I'll just whine some more about it to make up for that! ;) :D

I'll post some more when 've actually used it! To see how it holds up
Take care, davy

I'm guessing that BMs like that get overlooked because we're too busy looking at AXIS lock ones.

Congratulations on the Benchmade. I'm wary of linerlocks, but I don't think I'd have much hesitation buying a Benchmade liner, they know their locks! I wish they'd give her a better clip to compliment the scales, and I'm sure some of our left-handed forumites want to see an ambiclip and dual stud version.

The pivot and thumbstud shapes are very nice

Post some pictures :D

I love the 690. It has lots of little detail work like the dovetailed bolsters, fancy spacers and anodized liners. I think the clip is one of the most unique and functional on the market. My brother kept saying how much he liked mine so I gave it to him for his Birthday this past week. I'm going to miss that knife :(

No problem :)

Glad to hear that the clip is functional, I guess I don't mind the shape much then. :D

I have a 690-01 with the "bonded ivory" handles. THe knife is beautiful and well built but it is so pretty I just have not been able to bring myself to use or carry it. It is the only knife I have that is in that catagory. I thought about buying a rosewood handled model to use and carry.

You could probably get a dual thumbstud that would work from knifekits too. I've always loved the 690 since the day they came out, just still haven't found the cash for one. Too many khuks get in the way. :( I do love my khuks though. :)

The 690 is a excellent knife, looks great and built like a tank. Great pickup.

Still one of my all time favorites & thats a fact :)

Lord knows I have enough of them still...even after selling a bunch of them off.

Duncan sent me over his pictures today..they're nice.

And without further adieu, his Benchmade 690, his Griptilian, and his CS4!
