exactly what should i be doing to this baby to make sure that it locks nice and strong. When i wear it with jeans, i notice a bit of, idunno, lint in the side that faces in on the pocket. Something to worry about? should i just Q-tip it with some oil? i haven't worn it in a while (still looks new, the McHenry & Williams Black half-serrated model); bringing it out of retirement cause it seems to have quite a reputation with the Axis lock on it.
So, what's the best way to keep it smooth and strong?
Thanks....

Benchmade advises, according to the insert that comes with every knife they sell, they state "Always keep the locking areas of your knife clean-accumulation of dirt or debris could adversly affect the locking mechanism. To clean these areas, we recommend using compressed air, and lubricating with Tri-Flow"
That says it all, I think. They also advise using Tri-Flow, or Rim Oil on the blade pivot.
