Well, I received my first benchmade yesterday.

first impressions (short): it was sharp... very sharp. I could shave hair off my skin and cut paper with it. so sharp it took a nice chunk out of my skin as well. clumsy and knives don't mix. axis lock took about 100 flicks or so to get used to. the only real qualm I have about this knife is the handle size. it will be perfect in a dress outfit w/o clip for its minimal size; but, any extended cutting should prove tiresome after a short while. the fit and finish are great with no blade play whatsoever. all in all it may be the perfect size knife for dress wear. they sure were able to cram a lot of blade into a very small package.

i got my bm707 yesterday, and am very happy with it! the size is perfect for EDC, but i have a big hand, so maybe i will keep an eye on mini skirmish..

Benchmade seems to have a knack for fitting a lot of blade in the handle. You'll see the difference with blade/handle ratio compared to Spyderco, for instance.
I just got a Mini Skirmish and it's rock solid. Can't imagine wanting anything more from a framelock.
