BM 710- Handle Thickness?

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of picking up a 710 this Christmas, but I've never held the knife in real life. The blade and handle length seem to be ideal, but how thick is the handle? Is it thicker or thinner than an Endura 4? A mini griptilian? A nitrous Stryker? These are the knives I own to compare it to, so if anyone knows, I would be much obliged.
Thanks!
Mark

It is a great knife, feels nice in the hand, I have a regular griptilian, and I know the blades are the same thickness, but the 710 isn't as wide (from side view it is the top to bottom ratio) it is thinner than the griptilian in this sense, but longer. The D2 is nice, I was actually going to buy one very soon, I looked at one the other week, and I only didn't buy it because I had to check up on the price to see if I was going to be overcharged. The G10 handle is awsome and feels like a tank. I wanted to get this knife because it seems like a compromise between my griptilian and my rukus. Blade thickness of the griptilian + the almost the length of the rukus = bad a$$ knife, with better blade steel than both. :D. Hope this helps, J.

I guess I carried off a bit from the OP, the handle feels thinner than my griptilian, it doesn't quite fill the hand as well since the 710 has flat G10 handles, whereas the griptilian kind of bulges out to fill the palm.

The 710 model is pretty long overall. Just about 9 inches i believe. The blade itself is about the same thickness as a grip and endura. However even though the handle is long, it does not fill the hand very well compared to others offered by the company. The handle has super stronge and thick liners though. So put it this way. The handle is a little thicker than a grips, or the enduras because of the thick liners, but it is rather squarish and not as ergonomic. Its still only 2nd to my griptillians i used to own. Look around on some websites for the exact dimensions of the 710 and the grip or a knife that you own so you can compare it with a tape measurer, thats the only way to tell what you like with out getting your hands on one. But the 710 is definatly a tank in a gentelmans tank way?!

I would agree with the comments above. The 710's handle is fairly thin, pretty close to the Mini Grip, and a bit tinner than the Stryker. And yeah, the blade is about the same as the full size Grip, or a touch thicker than the Mini Grip. The blade geometry is fabulous, though; this knife really cuts. Overall, I'd say it's the biggest knife for the most compact package you're going to find. The ergonomics aren't quite as nice as the Grip, since it doesn't have the palm-filling swell, but it rides a lot nicer in the pocket. Also, although I haven't handled the Endura, I'd guess that if you're happy with that one's length-to-handle-proportions ratio, then you'll like the 710. And yes, a "gentleman's tank" is a good way of describing the 710.

It will fit your hand sweet! I've never heard a complaint about that, always raves about how good it fits.
It is a little thinner than my grip handle but the balance is even better IMO.

I only have the full size grip to compare, dunno if it will help;

Nice pics, it is nice seeing the two laying open side by side. When I looked at the 710 in the store, I didn't want to bust out my griptilian to compare, but now I can picture it a lot better :).

Do you think you might be able to show then standing on their backs and take a top view pic to show the thickness difference?

Greetings, this is my first post. I just picked up a Benchmade 707 Sequel myself, so the research I did is still fresh in my mind.

You can look up the handle thickness in the Benchmade catalog, which is available online here . The handle thickness of the BM 710 is listed as 0.48".
