OK, new Knife time. I've been carrying my Endura for 5 years, and I love it, but I think I am going to make a move--I'm looking for ~4 in folder, ~100$, give or take. I use the crap out of my knives, boxcutting, wire stripping, whatever, so don't really want to spend a ton of cash, in case I really am too rough with it. I like the Axis lock more so than the liner locks (fear of failure which has happened to me), but Emersons seem to have a rabid following. Also, I've never really seen anyone carry a spear point cqc--any reason? Thanks for your responses!

Those are very different knives. Nothing against the CQC7A, but a 710HS (HS=M2 blade) has a more versatile blade shape, a much stronger and more reliable lock, and a tougher steel. At 3.9" is also has about a 1/2" more blade. No contest.
The 710HS does cost more...

btw, ergonomics are very good on both of those knives, IMO.

Emersons are great when you can get good ones, no offense to those Emerson lovers out there - but I strongly advise not buying any emerson model until you've had the chance to examine it either through thorough pics or personal inspection, since Emerson QC seems to be all over the place.
Additionally are you really sure the CQC7 is what you are looking for? I like the ergonomics of the knife and feel it is strong, but it is also a mere 3.3" in blade length, if you want an around 4" blade I wouldn't really consider it a candidate.
Personally i've been looking closely at the SOCFK B and PSARK - but hey that's me.
