Probablly the night vision but comment on both if you like. I've always bought benchmade and I'm going to abuse this knife terriblly pry bar ice pick and heavy cuting (carpet). And I don't want to have to take nics out of the edge when I sharpen it. The BM has 154cm instead of ats-34 there's one point difference on the hardness scale. What can you tell me about that? I don't really know a lot about steel.
Thanks fo ryour replies :D

If you are going to be that hard on it I'd get a Tomcat! Much tougher than both!:) Probibly not what you wanted to hear.;)

Hi Knife11,

Thanks for your post. Benchmade makes a great product, as do we. 154CM and ATS34 or essentially the same steel made by different manufacturers. The SOG is designed to be a hard-use knife and should serve you quite well. As SkagSig40 said, the Tomcat might be a nice option for you. It is built like a tank! The AUS6 steel is a bit softer, so it will flex more and be easier to sharpen. We will also shortly be converting it to a knife with a thumbstud, allowing for one-handed opening.

If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know.

Just my opinion, but of the 2 I'd recommend the Vision, it has a sharper point, and a longer blade 3.75 vs 3.25.
I have a Night Vision and a BM 720, the SOG is definitely a bigger, heavier blade.
Just my 2 cents...
