I've always bought benchmade but I've been considering the SOG. Which do you think is the better steel or the better lock? If it were totally up to the size the SOG would win cause it's just a little bigger and therefore fits my hand a little better. However i've handeled the 722 and I thought it felt very nice also.
Comments Please :D
Thanks

SOG... all the way. The lock is stronger than the axis since it has another point where it is attached to the frame.

I bought a 722 and didn't like the way it fit my hand so I sold it and bought a Night Vision. Both knives have the same steel. The SOG is only made in combo edge, the only way to get a plain edged one is to order directly from the factory and pay full retail. The SOG is a little bit bigger and I prefer the handle shape a lot. Both locks are among the best out there so not too much difference there. The 722 rides much lower in the pocket due to where the clip is mounted. The 722 is also available with BT2 coating if you want it. My Night Vision is smoother than any of my Axis locks. There are three different versions of the SOG- the Vision has Ti scales & full double SS liners, the Night Vision has G-10 scales & full double SS liners, the X-ray Vision has Zytel scales & partial liners. If you go with SOG, get the Vision or the Night Vision, the X-ray is cheaper for a reason. The 722 has G-10 scales & partial liners. I believe the SOG will also come with a silver clip, if you want a black one you have to call the factory for it, I did and mine showed up within a week. I'm mostly a Benchmade guy and about half of my folders are BM's, and I prefer the Night Vision to the 722.
