I was fiddling with my Benchmade 745 Mini Dejavoo today and it made me sad to think what an awesome knife this could of been. Imagine if this knife had a much stronger liner lock instead of the flimsy crap liner lock it has now and if it had a better ball detent. The 740 could of been perfect in my eyes then. Awesome hole opening, cool G10 handles, sexiest blade shape, FFG, lightweight, functional pocket clip, S30V and a good value. As it is now its just a really cool toy knife. Ah well. I wonder if they will ever release a fixed version of it.

I got one of the 1st Production run Dejavoo's several years back. It was then as it is now an outstanding folder. Unless your prying up manhole covers I guess??? If you wanted a stronger knife you should have purchased a knife that would fit your Kong size needs.;)

That wasn't my point, the liner lock was known to fail and would close on you rather easily. You shouldnt have to put a piece of paper to wedge between the lock and scale :(. Not to mention it has the worst possible blade retention and cut my leg numerous times in my pocket. Still I do love the knife but I'm not biased enough to call it an outstanding knife . If they just fixed the liner lock issue it would be easily be an edcer for me :P

i took mine apart polished liners and bend liner-lock little, now this is a good knife , but BM should do that not me.:thumbdn:

I'm not sure because I have never used it, but I believe BM has Warranty policy. My point was all knives are not made to be TANKS. Some knives are designed to be eloquent daily users. Which in my opinion is what the Dejavoo is. P/S mine never had a issue of any kind.

my mini dejavoo is one of my favorite benchmades ever!! the lockup is perfect and its one of the best s30v heat treats iv ever seen!!
