I just bought a 770. Whenever I buy new folders I take clips away. I was wondering if it's OK to leave the hole without a screw in it, because there is nothing that holds the handle (carbonfiber part) to the (metal part) the spine of the handle. I tried to put the screw back after removing the clip, but it wouldn't get in all the way. Does anybody know?

At the risk of putting my foot in my mouth, if the screw is the only thing holding the carbonfiber to the metal on that portion of the knife, it would be a good idea to have that screw or a shorter screw in its place to keep the carbon fiber from getting damaged. I would try to find a shorter screw to fit the hole (or cut the screw shorter) so that it fits flush to the carbon fiber.

Ryosuke, I don't know about your 770, but mine is a preproduction model and the clip is countersunk into the carbon fiber scales so that removing it would leave a largish hole there.
