Found a spare BM 800s at a gun show today.

My usual edc, purchased when the first came out with my new treasure.

Shows you what years of sharpening and use will do.

And a couple with my 806.

Now eventually I need to try and find a AFCK in M2 and I'll be content, maybe.;)

Why the hell did they have to stop making the 806, I love how that knife looks.

I love these knives too. I collected them for a while also, but not anymore. At one time I think I had 5 of em and only two other knives. I still have an 806 in my carry rotation that's been there for about two years, and a fresh one I've been keeping safe. If you really like these, another knife to check out is a spyderco renegade. It's not made quite as nice, but is almost identical in overall shape. Basically the same knife with a thinner tip, less belly, a lockback, and a single liner. I don't know why they discontinued the 806, -it's one of the greats in my book.

I wonder if they'll ever consider doing a limited run of them again or something, has Benchmade ever done that before? What was the retail on the 806 when it was being made? I'll check the Spyderco out too, but I think my first decent knife purchase is still going to be a 710.

Siggyhk, I've handled the C23 and C24, I liked them but it just didn't seem to trip my trigger, but the AFCK was love at first sight.

I'm going to try out a BM 740 LUM when they come out, looks like it will work good on the right side for me and it's S30V, besides I always kinda liked the Spyderco version.

BM, has made a lot of different limited runs over the years you just have to buy enough to make it worth there while, probably 500 at a minimum.

If my memory is working right a 806 had a MSRP of $175.00 but I may be low.

And you can't go wrong with a 710 I have a M2 user and a D2 queen, awesome knives.
