Just curious what others think of the AFCK. Ten years ago I got my first one in ATS-34 steel and for nine years it was my favorite knife. When they came out with the CPM-M4 limited addition I just hade to have one. Took months but finally got one for just under $300. Now I see them popping up all over. Just wondering what other people think of it?

They're great knives. Unfortunately when they first came out "opportunists" bought as many as they could to resale at a later date. Which is why they were very hard to find at first but now that money is getting tight more and more are hitting the market. As time goes on these will permanently find homes in either pockets or safes and they will become harder to find. Hang on to it, the 806M4 is a special knife. ;)

Thanks! That's kind of what I wanted to hear. I'm new to the forums and appreciate the experience and wisdom of others who know far more then I do. I carried almost exclusively BM while on active duty for 20 years because that's what was issued. Being a "Gun Guy" wasn't until I retired that I started to truly get into the beauty and science of them. From day one I always thought the AFCK was special.

I've got an old ATS-34 that I use now and again. It's got a tacky looking handle but I've got to say it's sure held up
