BM 810-1401 Back Spacer

Greetings,
I got a new 810-1401 from a private party, when it showed up it had the 810 back spacer minus the glass breaker, just a hole for it. Any thoughts on getting the correct one or aftermarket back spacer.

That particular KW exclusive model doesn't come with the glass breaker. Mine doesn't have the hole where it would be either.

If you really want the standard 810 backspacer with glass breaker, contact BM customer service and just request one. They're fantastic to deal with.

Yes, well aware of what your saying.
KW should be a polished SS piece with no glass braker, not an iron oxide finished piece with glass breaker/hole. Though I was clear on this.
As far as BM CS and QC, no way. I remember what I had to go through to get a back spacer for 810 that broke, what a ball busting ! There was a time when they had CS and QC, no more in my opinion. Speaking from experience.
 
We make aftermarket back spacers in carbon fiber and G10 for the 810. Much improved weight and balance on the knife. backspacer 810.jpg
 
Just G10 and Carbon at the moment we are working on other metals but have some order backlog that needs handled first

Just as I said, the 'New Benchmade' will NOT send out a back spacer. Not even sell it.
The 'New Benchmade' is no longer the Benchmade of old.

Good thing for newer company's like Hogue and others who make it easy to own their products.

Does it require taking the knife apart to put it in?
 
No. Two handle screws.
Probably take 90 seconds with time to spare.
They sent me one before when it broke on a different 810, not anymore........ It's 'THE NEW BENCHMADE' ! No more F and F, QC etc..
There was a time when it was all good but I guess it all changed with the 'NEW BENCHMADE'.
