Hi everyone-
I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a website, or provide me with some background on the BM 814?
It's the first knife I ever bought that cost more than a few bucks. I believe it's the AFCK mini. It's numbered 63 out of 500, and never used. I put it away years ago and forgot about it. I have a growing collection of BM's now and would like to put this one in the edc rotation. I'm curious as to what the general opinion is on the knife.

It has a G-10 handle and 154cm steel. The hole is oval and a little tricky, lots of wrist action needed to open it. I can't remember why I would have tucked it away?

The 814 was when Benchmade switched from the round hole and ATS-34 steel (812)to an oval hole with 154CM steel (814). I'm a big fan of the Mini AFCK's and I have almost every version. Best folder ever made in my opinion.

ya are all correct, its just a std AFCK without the round hole and with 154, ya see a lot more 800's they only made the 804 for around a yr or so then they disco'd them, and went with the 806 axis AFCK, but they still made the 814 mini for a while afterwards, maybe a couple or 3 yrs.

i dont know exact numbers but would say the number would be pretty small, at least compared to 800's i bet they made tens of thousands of those.
